Mothers

Interesting exploration on motherhood and how fiercely these women fought for their children! I related to Nuria’s desperate desire to become a mother and loved how much Lozano’s writing made me think.

I think it could be a little too repetitive at times and the third person narrator left me feeling disconnected from the characters, like there was a wall between us that couldn’t be crossed. I didn’t love the ending and felt it ruined a lot of what had been building for Nuria.

It wasn’t quite what I was expecting but overall I enjoyed it and want to read Witches from the author.
